iOS 7 Holds 78% of the Apple Devices
Apple released new stats in which iOS 7 holds 78% of the active Apple devices, including iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The whole figures carried out in the last week ending on 29 December 2013, which points that iOS 6 accounted for 18% while other early versions scored 4% of the iOS devices.
The iOS 7 remains at the top and is the most successful mobile operating system from Apple so far. The data also endorse the quick adoption of iOS 7 that was released in the mid of September.
The 96% of the iOS devices are running on iOS 7 and one-year-old iOS 6, which shows that users have a very keen tendency for Apple’s new operating systems.
Though, Google hasn’t announced its official statistics since 2 December, its most recent figures showed that only 1.1% of the active Android devices were having Android KitKat 4.4, Google’s latest operating system.
The Google’s jelly Bean holds a major part of Android share that lies between 4.1.x and 4.3 versions. But surprisingly, Gingerbread versions account for 24.1% of the Android devices that ranges from 2.3.3 to 2.3.7.
